About Tenterden Drama

Established in July 1958, Tenterden Drama was created as TODS, through the merger of the Tenterden Players and The Masquers. Since then, Tenterden Drama (formerly TODS) has been dedicated to delivering high-quality productions to audiences in Tenterden and its surrounding areas. We are a longstanding member the National Operatic & Dramatic Association (NODA) and the Kent Drama Association (KDA), with whom we have participated in many of their Full Length Play Festivals.

Tenterden Drama presents a mixed season of productions each year including a musical in February and plays in the summer and autumn, alternating on occasion with a revue. While the ongoing major refurbishment of Tenterden Town Hall has taken out of action one of Tenterden Drama regular performance spaces, we have continued to perform in local venues both in, and near, the town.

Our production of ‘Oklahoma!’ saw us return for the fourth time to Smarden Charter Hall where we have previously staged ‘The Unfriend’, ‘Bedroom Farce’ and our musicals revue ‘On Broadway’. ‘Bonnie and Clyde’, was a welcome return to the Sinden Theatre, while last September we were thrilled to have the opportunity to perform ‘Ladies’ Day’ at the prestigious Barn Theatre, Smallhythe.

Now in our 67th year, Tenterden Drama continues to grow and thrive. We are committed to entertaining local audiences with high quality shows while providing our members with the opportunity to take part in these productions, learn new skills both on and off stage, and enjoy an active programme of social events.
